What doesn't kill us makes us stronger?

We went to little Carter Jensen's first birthday celebration on Sat. We all had fun, including Miriam. She found lots to put into her mouth, especially that which was on the floor/ground. It must have been tasty for her...she kept finding chips and ice and such. It was soooo gross!!!!!
Oh, the wind was something else. It kept blowing the plates of cake over and scattering the empty plates all over the pavilion. Little Carter enjoyed his cake. He even got his legs into the action of eating and ended up with chocolate frosting all over his little self. What a cute birthday boy! It was fun seeing the fam again. Morgan went up to what she thought was her Uncle Mike and gave him a big hug before she realized it was his brother Andrew! They do look similar.
We headed back to the "Hotel Baggaley" for the evening when I reached Kyle on the horn. After a brief cleaning up and rest we were off again. This time to Draper and to visit Kyle and Kristy (I am guessing on the spelling, it could be with Ch.) We had a blast. We made bacon wrapped barbecued corn on the cob. Everyone thought that was pretty tasty and a cool way to get both great things. Apparently, bacon does go with most thing and make lots of things better.
Allyn climbed the mountain that is the back yard. He had a blast showing off for all the ladies! Morgan found a friend in Kristy, a fellow rock hound! Tori enjoyed the abundance of cherries. She ate A LOT. Poor Miriam found out that cats have claws. A local feline, that seemed friendly at first, jumped at her and scratched her little legs. At first she was shocked, then she realized it hurt. "Bite, a cat, bite." She didn't like that one bit. Made her leary of the other, friendly cats the rest of the night. (Though she kept trying to feed them her chips) She was also friendly with the chips with Kyle. We strapped her to the kitchen chairs with his belt. In return, she shared the bag of chips with him, one little handful at a time. Oh, and then there was the memory maker of Allyn tackling Kyle and Miriam dumping the rest of his ice on his head. She made it in his mouth, too! What fun. The kids tortured Kristy's poor cats, chasing them all around the house. Ah, to be a kid and have no cares!!!!!!!!
Anyway it was great fun having an impromptu bbq with the fam. The kids were supper excited to see him and didn't want to leave. They even wanted to throw kisses at them all night and not leave the house. They are excited to visit their Uncle Kyle again.

Too funny. You know, if you came back to Washington, we now have a high chair so you wouldn't have to do the old "belt-on-the-chair" trick. :)
